In the light of the above, it might be apposite to reset the poll so that can get a fresh read of our collective opinions.

That's a shame, any reason given? They must have checked the Drone video and seen what a nice group we are surely?

The Steam Fair looks ok, Beer Tent, Real Ale? But no Morris Dancing listed in the other attractions, to be honest i'm now not bothered where we meet up.

Get on to ukcampsite.co.uk and have a look for nice campsites in an area you fancy visiting. ✖ reference that with tripadvisor to find a suitable establishment for refreshments and arrange a do. The other trick I use is to go on the Ordnance Survey Get-a-Map website and search an area on their leisure map. Pubs and campsites are easily spotted with a bit of time and effort.
If you fancy some south west recommendations please ask, as i have a small but a growing list of places. If you'd like other attractions, some friends of mine go to the http://www.steamrally.org.uk which is reportedly a very good event.
Organisers of events usually have the best local info, so you know where to go. My shifts mean I can't easily get time off, even booking a year in advance often doesn't get granted. I'll hopefully be up and running with a pick-up in the spring next year and can make the last two weekends of June and/or the first two weekends of July. Failing that, I can happily arrange somewhere down our way for you to come to, that also fits in with my shifts.

We are planning a week in South West either starting or ending here, whichever fits best around next year

Sounds good in theory, but will have to think how it would fit with our proposed trip to Iceland. Would love to meet up.
