Re: Insurance & where to get it

That reminds me. Years ago my Daughter had split from her partner so to cheer her up we took her and the Grandchildren on holiday. I took my Daughter and the Grandchildren in my car and Andrew was following with the 20ft caravan we had at the time towing it with his White LWB high top Movano van. We...

Re: Insurance & where to get it

I emailed NFU office in Louth early this week. Got a reply that they would refer me to my local office. I heard nothing so went in person to the local office. Door locked you had to page on the intercom. Eventually someone came down to let me in. When I got round to telling then what I wanted to ins...

Re: So, yet another picture thread

Two friends run into each other while walking their dogs. One suggests lunch. The other says, "They won't let us in a restaurant with pets." Undeterred, the first guy and his German shepherd head into the restaurant. The maître d' stops them, saying, "Sir, you can't bring your dog in ...

Re: Nomad Campers near Preston

Good idea that padlock. My back on the truck is just a bit to short to shut the tailgate on the Nomad though. Two large chain links and a heavy duty dog clip type thing on each side brings the tailgate up nearly closed while traveling. I have been experimenting with various fasteners out of my box o...

Re: Nomad Campers near Preston

Collected my Nomad camper today.😁 It is now held onto the back of the truck with 4x 3ton ratchet straps. Had a pleasant couple of hours with Mark while he fitted the locking points to my Isuzu Dmax and showed me how to fit and unfit the legs and fit the ratchet straps I chickened out when it came to...

Re: New member

I boarded out the bottom of the truck ready for the camper on Thursday. I found some tongue and groove planks of western red ceder in the wood store so now the back of the truck smells lovely. They have nylon tape running underneath on both sides stapled on with 6mm wood staples. It means the planks...

Re: Insurance & where to get it

I have been searching round for insurance without much luck. Eventually tried the Camping and Caravan Club as the caravan is insured with them. I eventually got a quote from them for the Camper alone. Replacement value, new for old of the Nomad Camper at £15,000. Equipment contents of £2000 and pots...
