Ey up!
Re: Ey up!
Suppose ideally if you could lay bikes down sideways (onto) a bolted down rack that would be suitable wouldn't it

d3 is a serial builder of trucks
see this

Mine is one of his , an apollo on an l200
have a look at the youtube vids , mine is the 05 plate mitsi with apollo , then search for his other videos and there are loads of expedition camper videos from him. Got mine at a large discount from his price froma campervan centr in southamption which had part ex'd it
it looks a good price with all the extras, the winches are not of the highest quality but they work and with solar already installed plus a generator (personally don't like them but sometimes useful)
135bhp mitsi should be fine no truck is free of faults , nissans, mitsis, isuzzus and mabe even toyota

Even Toyota Rich

Re: Ey up!
I think bikes standing on the roof would be too high, especially where I am as there are plenty of low bridges that i know i would forget about. Lying flat could work, but take up space that a box or solar panels may require?
How about using the same attachments as the roof racks where the bikes stand but running them down the back of the camper, so they would be attached stood up but running vertically. You could fit one either side of the door, and all you are doing is adding a bit of length?
