So what do we know about the Knaus Traveller wohnkabine apart from they make great motorhomes? Seems pricey for a 1998 model.

Not a lot I'm afraid. Knauss dabbled briefly in the demountable market. They produced two models - both with fibreglass bodies and well built like their motorhomes - the Explorer which was a compact pop-top, and this one, the Traveller which was aimed much more at the luxury demountable market. If you search Google images for pics of the Traveller mounted on pickups you'll see that it's a seriously big, and heavy, box and I suspect that was one reason why production was limited. The Explorer, in comparison, is more 'camper' than 'motorhome' but seems to come up on the second hand market much less often.

Previous demountables: Island Plastics 'Suntrekker' on P100, S.Karosser 'EC8L' on Ranger supercab, self-built pop-top on Ranger double cab
Current demountables: Rhino 'Safari' hardside on Ranger double cab
