Rich you mustn't be alarmed by the FB stories about weird shaped crisps and clouds,
agree they form a staple on FB together with the legion of taciturn and misunderstood,

but if you 'see' it as a tool as we do it works for you, its more than worth it maintaining a presence there in our terms, harvesting the brief attention span web-browsers these days that stumble upon us.

Twitter on the other hand is totally about the sandwiches and we discounted that almost at once

FB is just a tool like another. Its sharp and best kept in its scabbard unless needed.

For me, most of my family are in the States, they are crazy conservatives and best kept at computers length or they might come a-visiting, so FB feeds their desire for all things British without them coming here and cluttering the place up.

There are also a good few of us on our own page -

https://www.facebook.com/groups/demountablecampergroup/

Borrow your kids account (that may end in tears) and take a look...

Other camping and camper pages there, lots of special interest groups - mostly Land Rover based. Give it a try, you know you want to.

It's intriguing looking about at the variety of groups and their interests,
there are lots of people use it to advertise their wares for nothing, we've found it invaluable in catching overseas members as its an easier more specific search engine for them ,

would say there are various anorak's out there purporting to be interested in collecting obscure items but it caters for all kinds of individuals

If there was a hiccup on the site earlier on (around 5 PM our time)
Thursday I missed it, and it will have been an update carried out behind the scenes by Mark Hamill,
Me said it didn't go as smoothly as anticipated but it's complete now so no worries everybody
