The towbar isn't full width so I'm nut sure that will be an option.
I'll have to take a look and see.
I have a few weeks yet to sort out options.

What im planning on doing once I get the truck back from having some tin worm sorted, is adding another tow rope hitch on, the right hand chassis leg. There is a tow hitch on the left side allready. I went to the scrap yard and got one from an old truck. Will post up some pictures when I start on it.

That's an idea Mike, some are fortunate on this & have a wide towbar bracket to drop a strap/chain down to, I think I Rich's the angle it came down at mean it was only just missing the valance below tailgate but your idea of a loop sticking out sounds handy,
Can you leave tailgate bolted on.
