Only natural to take a perfectly serviceable item and pull it apart to see how it works,

The fact things seldom fit together properly afterwards is secondary really.

On the one side we live in a thrw away society but now things are tight its natural to at least try and make things work longer, our dishwasher was always lsing little plastic wheels in the extreme heat produced inside,

but werent 3d printers supposed to create just this size components for nothing on demand?

A conundrum to be sure, I want to see how something works, but investigation will probably mean it won't then function properly ever again, its so wasteful just throwing things away and I know Mark will agree on this one,

but effective recycling isn't always an option, fortunately Microwave ovens seemingly never go wrong, so luckily escape the toolkit..... and a trip to hospital :ugeek:

I managed to tinker some lovely oak and beech into burnable logs on my hydraulic log splitter. Most satisfying to see the 6ton ram ouch a knotty lump of oak onto a nasty sharp wedge and drive it straight through the knotty bit. It's all piled into beehive stacks for drying. We're gone be warm this Christmas.

I can actually add Chainsaw to this list as of today,
string starter wouldnt go back in after trying to start it for ten minutes, took it to bits and found the Vanes that cool motor on that side had sheared off and also damaged the clutch thing on cable
