Yeah, if you can find or make the time it's definitely a trip worth taking. In 2009 Clare and I took the summer off from our usual fruit work and spent 5 months and 14,500 miles travelling from down here up to Nordkapp - up through Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and back through Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Absolutely fantastic with spectacular landscapes, amazing wildlife, very friendly people and just masses of cultural and historical interest. Scandinavia in particular is motorhoming heaven, with empty roads, good campsites if you need them but with legitimate wild camping anywhere we only used them very rarely. More often than not we would find somewhere to park next to a lake and frequently there would be provision of a fire pit and free firewood, and even, on a few occasions, a sauna shed. Brilliant, as long as you can put up with the mosquitoes! When I eventually finish my camper I'm reckoning on its maiden voyage being a repeat of some of that trip. It was that good!derestrictor wrote:someobody has a lot of time on their hands to take a big trip like that we haven't been to those countries but they really look interesting
