Anyway.... we are taking a look-see this Halloween, the sites immediately about Whitby were already either closed or Booked up but I found

TV news weather from there this morning. Raining, the pavements will be awash with mascara.

OK so that's off!





Basically for any chance at all of spending the day in Whitby we'd need to be up with the lark to beat the ridiculous number of visitors, we spent a couple of hours mid-morning driving around town centre chasing non-existent car parking spaces, all the time it looked like every goth that ever there was milled about the pavements beside us :D

For those of you know Whitby, those steps from harbour to Abbey were just completely black with costumed people of all sorts going up and down, looked a lot of fun apart from actually getting there :D
