Not quite sure the status on that just now....
We spent a delightful couple of days with Arek and family last week and finalised the details for the UK version of the Camperhit. This is a VERY exciting project. Huge permanent North/South double, good galley, nice dining/relaxing area, hot water, central heating, large private toilet area, practical shower. Aerodynamic form and racing yacht technology for both body and furniture construction is incredibly tough and very attractive. Target weight is less than 500kg!
The name has also been chosen. The name (and the winner of the competition) will be announced at the Southern Runaway in a couple of weeks. Look forward to seeing you there :-)

I'm not sure where the project will be then but we will try. We ordered our demo van last week so it's now in build but it's somewhat different to Continental models. We're sure the continental model will do well in Germany and probably France too, but they're a little too stark for UK tastes. Continental models are built for extreme light weight with a very small, single burner hob, a small fridge, no private toilet and no shower. For UK models we've been able to incorporate 2 burner hob with a good, deep sink, 65 litre compressor fridge and as mentioned earlier, private toilet area and practical shower. There are also little niceties like 200w solar panel, lithium-ion battery and refillable gas system all standard and fully integrated into the design. Price will be just under 30,000 EUR (currently around £23,500) with a very high spec. The only options are really colour, bike rack and 'bat-wing' style awing - pretty much everything else you might want is standard.

It's a small van but it's going to cause a hell of a stir!

Best wishes

Gary
