Oh no what has happened (Ranger repair)

So had a day off work today managed to get a bit more done.

Right hand leg bracket all screwed in, but not yet sealed

Left hand done as well this was a bit more problematic as the metal panel when bent round under the floor plus the slightly higher repair I had to make made the bracket too short between the top mounting bolt which is fixed out of the rear wall and the bottom, so had to make a new bolt hole, then one of the screws underneath into the floor broke when I screwed it in so had to drill the bracket again !! Anyway it all fits now.

Fitted the trim between the two panels to cover up the join just using carpet tread joiner, once sealed should secure it alll nicely

Right hand leg all on

Left hand side on plus some trim to cover up and seal the panel joins.

Bottom trim on, im quite pleased with how its comming together. Have to get the step on which will need a trim as where the bottom panel plus the angle trim is has made it a bit bigger to will have to a few mm of the step back. Break out the jig saw again!
Then the lights on and final piece of trim, to go on as I ran out of small stainless screws on Saturday.

I wonder what the cost has been so far do you think,

have you kept a tally of materials, it would be interesting to see how it comes out,

sure if it was me I'd take a look at the level of difficulty involved , how long it might realistically take me and then somewhere big enough to carry it out,

although being honest I'd need to balance my enthusiasm against the short attention span and then hire you or Keith to actually do it while I do what I'm good at and earn money to pay for it

Well rough estimate £185 main items the ply at £30, screws at total about £40, metal and adhesive £60. £25 on sealent adhesive, checker plate £30,
Probably forgot some so £200 ish, which is a lot less than a repair outlet.
Obviously time is the big thing, which I cant cost.

I think that would be well over £2k at a repairer, so you may have put a lot of hours in but that's cash in the bank.

Oh no not looking for any work I have a full time job so this is just a hobby, if im ever at a loose end perhaps when I finally retire which is many years away!! Might consider it.

Well if nothing else, if you ever sell the camper, a buyer can look at this thread and will know that the one expensive thing that can go wrong has been properly done so its a safe buy.

Well it's all done well almost, just need to clean up some of the excess sealent and paint the legs but I'm happy with the results, think it looks OK.
