I have been offered this, brand new in box, never used.

I have no idea if it might be of any use in my De-Mountable.

I would be grateful for any feedback?

Yes, if you need 240v and 600w is enough, it will do the job. We had one and powered a tv from it. There is an overhead, and it will draw considerable current from your leisure battery. If you use the full 600 watts it will draw something about 55 amps so you won't be able to do that for long, unless you have a bank of batteries. If you use it to power phone chargers and the like, it will draw considerably less, on a typical tv, to supply one amp at 240v it will draw a little over 20amps. Hope that helps.

Thanks Keith

It's a Freebie, so thats a plus but i have no idea of what a TV or mobile phone charger use's by way of current draw from my leisure battery?

I have managed for the last six years without one so not really bothered if i don't fit it, just wondered if it had any practical use that i was't aware of?

Worth having. I've recharged my drill batteries while driving and mobile phone when I lost the usb lead but happened to have the 3-pin plug charger.
Not the best use of battery power due to inefficiencies and losses but can get you out of trouble.

If you haven't needed one, you probably still don't need one. I like the price though. LOL

I like free.

Bear in mind it is probably a 'modified sine wave' inverter (the cheap type). These are fine for most battery chargers and laptop power supplies. I have a 300w one for that purpose.

Be aware that the output waveform of these 'modified sine wave' inverters is almost a square wave, and while that is fine for the above power supplies don't run anything with an electric motor from it.

Steve.
