Storing camper on pallets etc

I've seen a fair few pictures of say a stack of pallets being used underneath a dismounted camper, does anyone on here actually practice this every time they lay up their camper for the Winter for example?
OK, I know that when you dismount on a campsite, you are relying on just the four legs to take the weight of the unit and the occupants inside so why the need for the extra support when back home? Are you thinking that it takes a bit of pressure off the internal mechanism of those jack legs and the four body/shell mounting points of the camper??
I assumed that the entire floor of a camper would actually rest on the whole bed of a truck but in the case of a Tischer, it's actually on four small blocks of wood, so the unit were designed to be supported solely by those 4 points whilst sitting on a truck/other elevated surface I guess.

'On holiday' I don't go inside camper without either;
dropped down low on legs so you can step into it from ground without steps
or
with truck parked beneath it after a day out sort of thing....
Over winter some people drop them onto something solid together with legs on floor as extra steadies as in high windy days its not unknown for ours as well as caravans to come a cropper (but rare)
earlier older campers had suspect floors and it wasn't encouraged to go walking about in them but not an issue on modern construction

I'm sure the legs on our Tischer are more than up to the job of supporting the weight. However, she rocks when the wind blows.
I used to have nightmares.......now I have a wooden cradle. I sleep better.
We already had most of the wood so cost was minimal. Chain saw, screws, threaded rod, nuts, washers and a day's work got it finished.
If Zildjian reminds me how, and our steam-driven internet connection permits, I'll post a photo.

I have an old black and decker workmate and another similar folding workbench. I sit the camper on those and the 4 jacks when off the truck. I'm certainly not lowering it all the way down since I've got manual jacks.

Thanks,.....I've pretty much run out of steel stock right now but if anyone is interested in having one made, I'll see what I can do.
