Hi all. Complete newbie to the camper world here. Bought my first one last week. A Nissan d21 with a fixed margrave on the back. Does anyone no any history of the vehicle as Iv found a old image online with the exact same number plate but with a detachable one on the back. Mines now a permanent fixed one,? It’s only got 61k on the clock and last owner has had it for 18 years so Iv been told. Any know anything about it,? Many thanks. Dan

That's a rare camper Dan, no I don't know much about it though I think I've seen same picture on net in the past,
It looks vaguely like a Walker camper from 80's from those pictures though I'd guess the few manufacturers here came up with similar designs, and those from America anyway.
D21 we still see on sale even now as a carrier for campers so probably more robust than the D22 that followed them.

I don't remember seeing that combo on sale recently or I'd have listed it here as well!

Thank you. I thought it was as I can’t find hardly any info info on it apart from the picture that has the same number plate as mine but a different back which has confused me even more but hoping someone on here will shed some light on it. I just stumbled across it accidentally on the internet whilst I was searching for parts for my Nissan D22 king cab and spotted it. As soon as I saw it I newbi had to have it and so glad I did. Although it is immaculate inside I am planning a full re fit including nee cupboards and doors. Worktop sink and hob. Upholstery and curtains so hopefully that will bring it back into the 21st century. Also would like to add a tv to it. Watch this space snd thanks for having me.

I've been through the stuff I have on campers back then but not found anything relevant as yet, did it ever have a caravan step and or towball mounted directly on rear? that's the nearest one I can place it too.

Daresay it was someone building caravans had a go at the 'new-fangled truck campers all the Yanks were using'
either way it's done well to remain in one piece
would like to see some more pictures when you have time and I'll add it to our ID list

Yeah sure. I’ll take some more detailed pics of it this week as only just bought it on Friday. It says margrove on the side of the caravan and I have found a little bit of info from your website regarding it including that picture with the demountable on it too
