Off Road Training Weekend ?

I've been in talks with Darren who owns Adventure Overland UK (Bimobil Distributor).
He's had inquiries from some of his existing customers to hold an off road skills weekend.
He has then invited the forum to participate in the weekend so as to make it more viable & affordable for everybody concerned.
An instructor has been in talks with Darren who has been involved with Overlanding pretty much all his working life. So he'll know his stuff :)
The date, cost & venue are yet to be confirmed, but first of all we need to gauge the level of interest before we take it further.
It will probably be turn up on Friday evening, Training on Saturday then maybe some additional training Sunday morning then all leave site by 1pm.
The level of skills will be varied & if you don't want to do something, then that's up to you.
There'll be something for everybody to learn regardless of their past experience, even if only learning about tyre pressures to get you on & off a beach.

If you can please complete the poll below even if you don't wish to attend an event of this type.
I'll put the poll up for 30 days, then we'll take it from there based on the results ;)

Can folks who vote yes please pm me so I know who to contact when the time comes to arranging a date etc.

Thanks in advance for your participation in this Poll.

Andy

Good call, I've voted no because I've done numerous off road courses, but they are brilliant.

Plus I have Ninja skills :D

Interesting suggestion, and something a lot of 4x4 owners would benefit from with or without camper,
and be properly surprised what their vehicles are capable of

It's me again,

Can folks please pm me if they have Voted YES for the Offroad training weekend.
Even though I put the up Poll for folks to vote. Unfortunately I cannot see who has voted :-(
I'll be wanting to contact Yes voters when we have confirmation of costs etc.

Thanks again

Andy

I think they are a brilliant idea and anyone who hasn't used a 4x4 to its full capabilty would be pleasantly surprised at what they can do. I would not attend myself since I have regularly competed in 4x4 vehicle trials and taken demountable campers into some way-out off-piste situations.

Not as of yet Chris, I'm hoping to be speaking to Darren with the next week or so.
As soon as I know anything, I'll be sending out details so folks to check their diaries :-)
