I'd give it a firm 9/10 although i've read some terrific reviews of 'breaking bad' so that's next on my list,

more especially since TWD is off till summer now or something

Love The Walking Dead but no spoilers as I have the whole of this season on my computer to watch when I'm away at Easter. I thoroughly enjoyed and can recommend Breaking Bad too. Can't wait for Game of Thrones to start again.

No spoilers, no.
On the back of TWD I thought i'd watch anything Zombie-based with mixed results (it has to be said)
But I would have to say from the perspective of apocalyptic nihlism TWD wins over pretty much everything

We brought 'The Wire' back from our friends in Greece and have just started watching that - gritty stuff. and we sent our first series of Breaking Bad out there in exchange or we could have lent that to you Zildjian.
But then you live in civilisation with download speeds in minutes rather than days don't you.

I guess a few of us on here don't watch much 'normal' telly with soaps and stuff that gets judged by a panel? is there a degree of intellect with demountable owners? (or don't we admit to watching 'Crossroads' and 'Dancing Voice on Ice' etc)

I've got quite a few series stored on portable hard drive. I find TWD equally compelling and equally bloomin frustrating. The group know what attracts the 'walkers', yet every episode they keep on making the same mistakes and getting themselves bitten and/or killed. Some of the cast have seriously outlived their usefulness, so it's been with some big cheer, when they've met their comeuppance. As and when I get a pick-up and have time to attend a meeting, I can bring the drive with me and you can see what i've got.
My system allows for compact storage of shows, which I can then watch on the macbook which, in turn, coupled with a USB speaker, gives you super movie soundtracks and mp3 playback within your camper.

Ok no spoilers then, but i'd be interested to see your storage for just this sort of eventuality.

On a side note, have you come across anything Z-based worth a watch?

I've the TIVO set up for this genre and its recorded some pretty ambivalent output to date.
