If you stop overnight without demounting do you drop your legs for stability?
Just thinking about wild camping so may need to get away quickly but not sure if I would feel sea sick without the legs down
Just wondering what you guys do.

Rears down for us too, I always leave the heavy front legs at home as we don't dismount away from home

Rears down for stability..abd to stop stresses on the steps if they dig into the ground.
If we 'city camp' then legs up for stealth. I thought about a rope to pull the steps up, but then thought some smartass might park up to the rear and lock us in!

We pull the steps in when we're stealthing in an urban environment. I never thought about getting boxed in by some smartass, but I suppose I could scramble out of the big window, might be fun to try. Lol

How do you pull your steps up Keith? A drawbridge style lifting rope?
Zildjian would have a solar powered electric hoist with a hydraulic locking pin.

Once Mrs k33f is in I put the steps in and giant-step over them to get back in. No ropes, no tackle, KISS principle applies to everything I build. It's the only way I could get the space we need at a weight I'm comfortable for the truck to carry.
