Earthing the mains consumer unit

As far as I remember the consumer unit in our S.Karosser EC8L was earthed to the bracket of the rear, nearside leg (under the plastic 'skirt'). I'm assuming all Karosser's are the same as that but is that a standard approach among other manufacturers? And, if not, what are the alternatives? If that's the only solution I guess (eventually) I'm going to have to grind off some of the powder coating on my lovely new Reico-Titan legs!

Thanks Zildjian, that's helpful. So it looks as though it's earthed to the aluminium trim but presumably there's some steel in there somewhere?

According to the owners manual the Suntrekker is also earthed to the rear jacking leg. I'll have a look when I get chance and see if the wiring is in place.

Thanks Clive. I don't remember having taken any notice of it on our Suntrekker but I presume that was the same. That's certainly where the intake and consumer unit were.
