All terrain BF goodrich, I just use manufacturers pressure rating on load or not loaded pressure

Continental ✖ Contacts on the Amarok. Use the manufacturer's recommended pressure of 3 Bar on the rear (around 45psi) + the same on the airbags and it drives a treat. Tried playing with the airbag pressures, but this setup seems to work the best.

Rear tyres, Bridgestone Duellers. Round and black, nothing special. Run at 50, same as suspension, that works well without stressing anything.
I sometimes tow a heavy trailer so same pressure for that.

Tailgate has to come off as it would get in the way of the waste water tank, but I'd still remove it for weight saving anyway.

Now I've had the Defender on the weighbridge my "odd" tyre pressures make more sense. I look to equalise the bulge and footprint of the tyres back and front - this helpswhen driving on sand. On the weighbridge my front weight loaded (including passengers, fuel, full tanks etc) was 1.25 Tonnes and at the rear it was 2.35 Tonnes (3.6 tonnes total). So I have nearly twice the load on the rear than on the front. My tyre pressures to give equal footprint are 55psi and 25psi respectively. The other benefit is that with the demountable loaded my front suspension becomes a trifle hard (+40mm HD springs) and softening the tyres gives a little more movement.
Definitely tailgate off to reduce weight behind the rear wheels.
