Early review of the new Hi-Lux in English.
They reckon it comes with softer suspension for a more car like ride, useful for when you're unladen, just make sure you've got airbags for the camper loading.
They're claiming 10-15% more fuel economy, but Honest John's site mentions a Urea System, so it looks like Adblue could be on it for it to be Euro 6 compliant.
It's all going to have to come down to room for the driver for me. That said, I went to my local Isuzu dealer today and they've just supplied one with a seat modification to give the driver, who's got really long legs, more room. I'm hoping to arrange a sit in and try shortly.
Finally, got an L200 on test drive this Saturday. Mitsubishi in Exeter are having an open weekend and hog roast to promote the new truck.

Hmmm, YHM
I would say the L200 bash sounds like a fun dealer event for a change, good luck with the seat anyway

this one confirms a manual gearbox as an option which someone I work with was concerned about, and he is a toyota fan thinking it might only be offered as an automatic :|

Yup, new 2.8 with 6 speed manual or 6 speed auto. I'm going to call in to Toyota tomorrow, as the 2.8's in the new Land Cruiser and I can ask them exactly what a Urea Selective Catalyst Reduction System's all about.

More importantly ask how much a replacement is when its harvested one night, I had a shocking £700 quote for a silencer off Toyota last year, fortunately I sourced a pattern part which has worked just fine for around £130

cat's fetch about £80 scrap so worth it for ten minutes with a pipe cutter underneath your nice high off-roader,
Got my garage to weld up some rebar' back and forth beneath it so a pipe cutter won't spin and the things not removable in any case

For myself i'm not in the market, they do look good but doesn't offer so much more than current models I feel.

Bit of re-modelling, gimmicks like a start button, shopping bag holders and a chill compartment in the dash doesn't interest me,
might be I usually miss out a model in my buying
content to wait couple of years, that said I'd be interested to see and have a go in whatever you buy obviously

A lot of the stuff on the new one can easily be classed as bells, trinkets and whistles. However, the reach/height adjustable steering wheel and 90mm more length should offer me a comfortable, roomy, perch to drive from, which is something the current one doesn't.
Also, if you're thinking of skipping a model run, you need to bear in mind you'll probably have to wait another ten years before the next version gets a look in!
