That might just tap out if damage is away from the edges, once you take the inner panel off

I need to change the tie down points , you can see where the stress has distorted the tub along the back bottom edge .

Painted up alright in the end though see what you mean about those anchor bolt things though they seema bit odd as in not substantial looking

I've always been a bit uncomfortable with those - Niche fit those for Northstars -
Ok I guess but I'd like to see a huge plate Sikaflexed to the back. By huge - I mean a square foot at least.

Is your Ranger a 2WD?

First camper I ever looked at had same fitting and even then it looked puny really, where else in the world do they trust those.

I think the only real safe bet was the ill-fated tubular frame you drove over on your way under the camper hen it wound up to apparently 'clamp' the camper to truck by hugging the chassis,
Looked to be little use on anything but perfectly flat camp surface though and must've weighed 50Kg by itself

It's a standard Happijac rear tie down anchor isn't it, but basically it's just a single bolt through the bodywork with a large-ish washer behind it. Pretty much guaranteed to distort the panel!
