Hilux alarm issue

Can't now find the original thread but it was about an issue with alarm going off at odd times of day & night,
wasn't able to detect a pattern in behaviour or if it was parked near something like an automatic door or motion sensor triggering it, in the end however it was my phone!

For years I've had Blackberry's so having them randomly call people in my contacts list is nothing new, what I hadn't considered was the parrot hands free kit this hilux came with,
seems parking up and exiting the car before the two devices had finished communicating meant the parrot was still live even with keys in my pocket,

happened to walk back to car after dark and notice hands free display lit up still,

turned off bluetooth on phone and its all good again

not sure that should still be powered without ignition but if you are switching off key mid phone call that might cause call to drop out as well surely

This was maybe an hour,
So I disconnected the phone (for day to day) use and not a peep since,
I searched high and low for insects creeping about over the sensors inside, tried a variety of 'leaving car regimes'
without success, Steve here thought maybe something in parking vicinity triggering it,
looked again at battery as when they are past best can cause all sorts of anomalies
(reckon i'll be replacing that this Winter) at least its a single on this model

If the alarm is factory fitted and its not a battery issue then always look at aftermarket devices like Parrot or anything plugged into cigarette lighter or spotlights etc
as its frequently these retro fitted accessories that confuse something sensitive like an alarm system

Not a peep since actually no. the phone aspect doesn't surprise me one bit actually, these blackberry's have a well documented history of making pocket calls and essentially leading their own social life,
a previous model (now in the drawer with several others) picked on one particular name in the contacts list and pestered him at odd hours, we weren't especially mates so I was content to allow this to happen.

but no, no its been all quiet here regardless of how I leave the car or lock it
