What are you up to?
Re: What are you up to?
Yes you're right, its strapped forward, I'm going with pulling this into the headboard and driving carefully this time
with loader that's being fitted it would be too long so will be travelling backwards with bucket tipped down over trailer back and pulled down,
Its strictly for short journey's this combination in fact (if tractor went fast enough) I'd drive it down the road as its road legal

Well it won't be outside that's for sure
I think of myself as part of the the dayshift around here

Ignition light Hilux
Dropped tractor off this afternoon, had the ignition light come on as I got home,
fan belt intact, heat normal, 11,5v across battery though, and then engine light came on as well,
code reader suggests alternator,
reading up in now appears the alternator may have blown the fusible link
looking at a thread on this with pictures this evening reminds me this has happened before and my garage pulled the big block of fuses out and soldered something last time, so maybe they can do it again or it'll be a new one but they don't look dear at least
Needed a new battery to replace the ten year old original it left Japan with
all good again.....

Re: What are you up to?
Just spent the morning replacing the fabric in the fly screen on one of Jackie's doors on her house in Leros. On account of the heat I've adopted a new working style. Do a bit, rest a bit, do a bit more. I think I suit the Mediterranean method.

Re: What are you up to?
Put a new battery on Hilux yesterday after trying Sue's on it to check, and all back to normal
all lights out, so just a (ten year old) factory fitted battery had failed

Only now got around to watching the TV series I'm just at end of Series one and 'quite' like it, dare say its the methadone solution while the addicts amongst us wait for TWD to come back in Autumn
