Connect a short pipe between hot and cold taps in the bathroom, turn on the hot, then the cold, the pressure differential will drive any airlock out of the system. Works in Scottish plumbing, not sure about you southern safties modern plumbing. Absolutely no guarantees this will work, but if it does, mines a pint.

Having family Christmas dinner then preparing to drive the 400 long miles between Cornwall and Norfolk tomorrow.
Preparing to scrap with the inevitable motorised nutcases in the Peterborough area - what is it with drivers there?.... Mentallists one and all.

Being a frequent visitor to the Peterborough area, I totally endorse Rubberrat's views . .I'm glad its not just me . . . when I was a lad, 15 year old 3 series BMW's never used to overtake on the Frank Perkins Parkway doing in excess of 150 mph, emitting a flame from the rear end, akin to a Lightning jet on reheat . . . .Its possibly something to do with the High Octane Ethanol based Vodka, locally brewed in old garages and garden sheds and consumed in vast quantities by both car and driver.. Mmmm.. must remember to get a gallon or two in for Christmas.. . see if it provokes a similar response from the mother-in-law . . Tony

So sad.

I've been painting the inside of my transit van conversion. Because I can, having all this free time. On the road Boxing Day, I wonder where we'll end up.
