No longer a demountable virgin
No longer a demountable virgin
We are off to our friends campsite at the weekend so time to put the 2 bits together to make a camper.
With the minimum of swearing it all went quite well, must label the switches though so I don't go thru the trial and error of 'which leg and is it going up or down' again.
at one point had the whole truck one inch out so the camper wouldn't settle properly.
The new tie down system worked well , I'll take some photos tomorrow although I think I am going to have to move the foglight to a safer location

Re: No longer a demountable virgin
Is it staying in one piece for the duration of the trip or are you going to drop it off at all,
if so remember to get a routine and don't forget your electrics (although you have those snazzy suzi' curly ones which should stretch a fair bit

Re: No longer a demountable virgin
No it will stay on - our friend has a fleet of 12 cars so we can borrow one
A merc coupe
an audi 80 soft-top
1934 austin
numerous morris minors
skoda octavia
pug 106 thats been to the moon and back in mileage
Honda c90 & a chinese copy of a c90
and a hymer campervan
Yes he does have a fleet policy
Don't like those curly cords , they actually put too much pressure on the fittings so I will replace them with straight wires that can be cliiped up out of the way (velcro cable ties is my thinking)

Overtake......on the a47...... in an early L200 with big tyres and a camper body on board ...... your having a larf mate......
Still with the big tyres if we get stuck in the fens we can probably float out
The curlys are yours once I swap them out ... consider them as payment for services rendered (Now I wonder how long it will take a certain member to mention porpoising now)
