What Upgrades have you done to your Camper ???
Re: What Upgrades have you done to your Camper ???
Or a link to where you found it, if that's easier.
this is a constant problem with delicate stuff, we use some sort of plastic plates etc, and I'd like to use something nicer but it gets knocked around a fair bit

I got it from Halfords & managed to find a 10% promo code on the net.britsc wrote: That looks a nice DAB unit Peakymon i am thinking of doing the same, good point about the antenna.
Any others experiencing DAB in there camper ?

Re: What Upgrades have you done to your Camper ???
Britsc's mentioned the LED option, this is something many of us have carried out, it doesn't involve so much beyond remembering just how many bulbs there are throughout the camper (don't forget bathroom cabinet & wardrobe)
Yes, can we have some images, I did see the ones you featured at DMC but We'd all like to see them again please
now, on the aerial Peaky, how do you get at it,
mine was broken off on a hedgerow ages ago and I'd like to replace it properly

I haven't had decent enough weather to suss it out properly todayzildjian wrote: now, on the aerial Peaky, how do you get at it,

Halfords supplied me with a fancy window mounted aerial, which works ok just stuffed behind the headset but is not ideal.
I've since been looking at combined roof mounted powered FM / DAB aerials which are £60.00 plus.
So need to decide soon

Re: What Upgrades have you done to your Camper ???
Not too many upgrades on my SKarosser, the first owner went a bit mad with the options sheet (and his chequebook) and ticked almost every box!
So far I've just changed to LED lights (and will have to change again as they are far too bright - it's like being at under football ground floodlights). I'm about to upgrade the leisure battery.
Most mods have been outside - the trolly to move it on the drive and take the pressure off the legs when its off the truck (American truck camper sites and mags recommend that campers are not stored long term on the legs alone due to stresses on the mountings) The Bully net on the truck and my fabulous step hooks.
I try to go for simple solutions - hence the internal & rear step free-standing PIR LED's and a portable DAB radio (No DAB in Greece so no point in changing the main unit)
I just dropped short (1m) four gang socket with a continental plug to change from continental to UK sockets.
Upgraded the TV to one of those Avtex 12v/240v ones with a separate DVD player as they always seem to go wrong on combination units.
I too need to sort the external ariel as most of it's still in an olive tree in the Pelopennese.
Only plans outstanding now are to fit an outside light on the offside and to finish building my camper-port to store it under in winter.

Ah yes, external light,
Haven't got an image sorry but a strip 1.8m long tiny LED lights pushed into a spare strip of awning channel and that riveted to the underside of the fiamma wind-out, wired to power off the step light
gives a useful amount of light beneath awning after dark
(and looks Chrissmas'y Mark)

I got it from a local camping shop. Possibly a bit far for you to travel. You will find them in almost all camping shops though.zildjian wrote:Or a link to where you found it, if that's easier.

Oh I see, no in my minds eye had a sort of plate rack thing, where you push the plates in vertically
