'stuff about Demountables' rehosted alongside us here

Since 2007 anyone using Google to search "demountable", "camper", "truck camper", or related phrases, will probably have come across the stuff about Demountables website listed in the top half of the first page of search results. But now Google, in its infinite and tyrannical wisdom, has suddenly busted the s.a.D site so far down the rankings that I can't even find it! As a consequence,
not surprisingly, traffic through the site has collapsed completely from around 300 unique visits a day (half of whom were from the US) to virtually none.

About a month ago Google emailed me to say that they'd identified "mobility issues" on the site which they claimed compromised the way the site appeared and worked on tablets, phones and smaller devices (works fine on my tablet, netbook and, if I squint, on my phone as well) but, because I haven't done anything about that, I'm guessing that's why they've busted it. Rankings in other search engines haven't been affected.

Its a puzzler to be sure how G organise their rankings, even a redundant site and with a 'closed for business' banner as a portal so consequently ZERO-traffic in six months is considered a better result than ours,
hey ho
Anyone asks Martin we'll link them unless you'd like to here, a valuable resource we most of us have perused at one time or another

Can I suggest a facebook page Martin,
WE find that terribly useful as an introductory medium and I'm sure it would work equally well for yours

Gutted for you Martin, yours was my original source of Demountable info & You were the first person i e-mailed to ask if you might know who had built my Demountable? You didn't know & i still don't! I have no idea how it all works behind the scenes running a website so can't comment.

I will say that when you started your Blog on the Stuff about Demountables site, i really enjoyed reading it & am currently looking forward to reading your new build Blog on this Forum.

Good Luck whichever way you go & i hope to catch up with you one day for a chat.

Hi Martin
I'll keep this short until I get a chance to see what's what when I get back to the UK, but I too wad one of the many who started their search in the dark art of demountables with SaD.
Its always been the gateway site, and if nothing else we're all pleased that you contribute one here.
