Using hoist for first time
All tied up bit of an angle but easier to lift off than by hand

Mike, would the roof rails be strong enough to lift with meatier plates on the underside?

Doesn't it clutter up the place though?
I just haven't got the room to work around it unfortunately

The hard top comes off and on every time I mount up. It comes off the truck and sits on the trailer my demountable usually sits on. It only adds about 20mins to the process.

Hi Mark well im not sure, they are designed to have weight bearing down rather than pulling. The hardtop is metal so quite heavy, thats why I felt better to wrap round under neath.

Similar setup to ours for the L200... no hardtop on the Amarok currently - luckily as the carport needs raising first..

So Chris, a variety of different methods here all of which positively scream Health and safety, but as I say if you can slide it off over tailgate onto something roughly the same height as truck, that's easiest and safest
