Here's an odd (Hilux/tachograph) issue

As in 'Towing plugs' issue,
I noticed Hilux was a bit 'halting' and unresponsive on way out to coast, also the speedo was all over the place
(showing high at low speeds) stuff like that,

anyway got home this afternoon unplugged everything dropped off camper and went out again and everything back to normal on truck,

tomorrow I'll take a look at both grey & black plug on camper and treat everything to generous amount of switch cleaner see if that rights it,

Modern trucks with integrated wiring systems can be a bit temperamental with the towing pugs, read stuff on a motorhome forum a while back about van conversions with speedo issues after the converters had messed with the wiring.
Lots of Vaseline - sorts out all sorts of problems ;)

Oh Zildjian, I know all about Vaseline already, fancy you not realising that. We light fires with it here in coldest wettest darkest Argyll. I know nothing about vehicle electrics. Honest!

I had something similar happen on a landcruiser once and it lit the dashboard up like a Christmas tree.

Upgraded the electrics to 13 pin and never had the issue again
