Who here likes tinkering with things?

Don't imagine its just me & We know Finade like to break out the the toolkit and investigate!

my own meddling has mixed results if I'm honest, and there's a sliding scale of success usually the smaller the item the less likely its going to survive.

The tractor in example fared pretty well, big and robust passed through a couple of owners before me and made it onto a low-loader off to Norfolk still running on all cylinders despite my best efforts,

Electrical hand tools though not so good survival rate around here, both strimmer's expired, one survived the other for a short time but now I have a scythe instead.

I blame both built-in obsolescence, and patience deficit in equal parts :(

I do fiddle with this from time to time, but with little success.

Also, since I've got 4 cack-handed kids, I've got quite good at replacing broken screens on phones, tablets and laptops.

I'm going with 'light at the end of the tunnel' on that project as it's door cards are in place

I always seem to have stuff in bits here. The thought of paying someone to come out and fix something really makes me sweat.

Anyway, the dishwasher has been playing up so...

Generator didn't *make it* today BTW I dissembled it and laid out all the part of the carb, cleaned everything up put it all back together again (carefully)
added some fresh fuel, primed the fuel system throughout but that dfghjklvbnm would just NOT run

there aren't many things that make me lose my cool but I have a special hatred of things-that-don't-work :geek:

Not buying another one, thats it
