Toast anyone?

Just doing a bit of research into ovens and what a minefield of information, both good and bad, there is. It would appear that many motorhome ovens simply aren't worth paying for, due to poor toasting ability and poor temperature control which, obviously, affects the quality of your cooking.
I'd heard that marine cookers are a better option, so have been perusing the web and found this great review. Interestingly, the most expensive cooker was the best performer, but it was closely matched by a contender at the more affordable end of the market.

well those camping type wire toasters dont work very well over a burner is it actually for toast capability you are looking?

Marine cookers are not great at toast either.
In the pursuit of perfect toast the only thing that works properly is a cheap low wattage electric toaster on hookup.
Everything else for offgrid toast makes stuff that's burnt on the outside and raw in the middle.

I am a fan of spirit stoves mind. Never out of gas anywhere in the world. And some ferries are gas adverse.

It's true, we Brits like our toast and I love the occasional cheese-on. I do like to cook when i'm camping though and have a MacsBBQ, which are superb for cooking all sorts of things alfresco. However, it usually rains in this country, and I still like to cook proper meals, cakes etc, along with heating up croissants for our de-riguer breakfast in bed and the aforementioned toast. If you read the review on the linky, you'll see that there are two ovens that will do toast reasonably well. The fact that one's a British company, making what appears to be a very good product - albeit the most expensive one - gets my vote and i'll probably look at adding it to my camper… when I can afford it.
Regarding the review, I thought it was done rather well and think it's a shame there's little in the way of tests/reports/reviews of a similar standard for motorhome/camper accessories.

You and I didn't get an oven already fitted to our Skarroser's
they seem reserved for others, I'd (like Sue) to have an oven fitted and wasn't even aware they were an option
Rachel & Chris are cooking enthusiasts but I don't remember if they have one fitted to the skarroser they bought from Austria

...A large freezer oddly, but I don't recall an oven

Chatting with Dave, the chap that's sold me his camper, he mentioned that he'd seen an oven fitted to one, but the owner had to sacrifice some of the bench area for it to fit. Rubberrat, did yours require a change in the seating area and, would you mind posting a wider angle image, showing the whole oven in it's surroundings? Would be helpful for my plans. Also, how much gas do you find the oven goes through and, how often do you need to refill/change your bottles?
The GN Espace Levante is reported as being highly insulated and, therefore, very efficient. Another reason why it's my top choice of oven to fit, but it would be nice to know how long my gas is likely to last.

Well I don't know if my minimum standard of toast worthiness is less than yours but the Smev double hob and grill in my camper cooks bread to perfection. Also sausages and bacon and I even did a frozen pizza in there once.
