Your cynicism has been noted,

notice how I stopped short of installing a Heki rooflight (much as I'd like too)

Sleeping under a heiki roof light when it's raining is no fun. It transmits the noise of rain drops a lot more than an insulated roof does. No good for light sleepers.

On the other point, you might improve the look by having the angle brackets on the inside where they would vanish behind the gear inside.

I did investigate the improbable approach you endorse,
access wouldn't allow plus the brackets look pretty spiffy and lend a utilitarian look.

That explains it then. Nothing wrong with utility. I had you figured for slightly posh, but now I realise you're country just like me! Lol

I have made a raised floor for the seating area of the camper and have just taken delivery of a central table leg.

Will get some pics once finished but I hope it will make getting round and handling the table a lot easier.

Here it is.

Loads better as I can swivel it round to get in. If it works ok this weekend I may get a circular top as I feel that would be better and get some matching floor covering from B&Q

That's why I wear earplugs, sleep soundly most of the time when camping, especially with the biking bunch of snorers i usually hang out with! ;)
