Kermit The…. Chair.

Web forums are great places, when used as intended. I've been on another travel related forum since it's inception many moons ago
It's a two wheeled travellers/explorers site and, I think you'll find they're a pretty similar bunch of people to you guys.
Being on two wheels gives the same space/weight restrictions as a de-mountable and a fair few of us have camping kit down to a compact and lightweight art!
One of the items some oof us have is a Kermit Chair - http://www.kermitchair.com - They're not cheap but they are hand crafted works of chair art. They do a standard chair but, if you fancy one, I'd recommend the Wideboy, along with leg extensions and a cup holder. Have I mentioned they're not cheap?
I have no connection to the company, being just a customer with two wideboys. So, if you're after a compact camp chair, which folds flat or collapses into two small bags (chair in one, leg extensions in t'other), you can't go far wrong with one of these…

I did, I was expecting a little gif or something showing it folding out or folding up, is it like the 'nomal' chairs we see on sale

Another chair that's ideal for motorcycle camping or backpacking even is the Helinox, it folds down to a small size and weighs next to nothing.
Fairly expensive at £85 but you can get a good copy at less than half that price from the Chinese eBay site.
Will post links when I get home, if anyone wants them.

that looks both comfortable and reassuringly expensive at same time, in our case though we shall pass on this one as the fact it comes apart is largely pointless and (We) would lose the legs or leave them behind somewhere

The legs/frame of the helinox is all connected via elasticated shock cord so it's only the mesh/fabric of the chair that you have to attach to it. The carry bag is a third item I guess.

Kermit's are rated to 300lbs, which is around 40kg more than most camping chairs on the market today. The Helinox is a good chair but, pound for pound although cheaper, there's more material and more hand workmanship gone into the Kermit's so IMHO they're better value and will, most likely, outlast many other chairs.
