Kermit The…. Chair.

I guess £85 isn't too over the top in the posh camp chair world. Some of the chairs I admire most are from OzTent.
But as it's not unknown for me to reverse over / leave behind expensive camping furniture items, I stick to the endless supply of mud grinding fodder provided by car boot sales.

Last one looks a little lightweight though, I daresay its quite strong when its all together

Yeah, it's not bad at all, I think it's load limit is 100kg.

I bet there are probably cheaper copies of the kermit chair around on the Chinese ebay sites. Personally I wouldn't pay £85 for any camping chair either, my 'Helinox' cost a fraction of that, so far I can't fault and if it got lost/stolen I wouldn't be crying so much.

That's the only downside of a Kermit… you keep your eye on them, dependant on company and locale.

Well I have heard of another downside that's felt by some, that curved wooden rail at the front can become uncomfortable on the back of the legs at times.

Not experienced that problem, but can see how the design could cause it for some people. Like most things camping orientated, there's always a compromise somewhere along the line.

bound to say fella's this pretty much describes the effect of buying a cheap & cheerful folding seat off any forecourt actually,

Yeah, you sure are right there, I remember the typical old steel tubed ones that we had many many years ago, they were really bad for that, thankfully we have a lot more choice on the design of a 'camping chair' now a days.
