I'll have to get the dimensions but they are both 110 AH I know,

about the safe though if you can get a flat one, half that underfloor only (is occupied with the water tank) the other fresh air, which is why I thought it wasteful, ours is carpeted so can't remove the floor panel in halves like you, but there's lots of room there going begging

OK so here is the cabinet/table/step which is hung on the old table wall bracket but sits on top of the two part battery box, I can get some more detailed pics later if you want to go that way

Don't worry about the dimensions it was the amp hours I was intrigued by! I'd stuck my arm in that space before and thought it could be workable but didn't pursue it. Time to get the crowbar and lump hammer out

Where did you move your pump to?

If I have to I'll go and picture it at weekend,
but (from memory) I believe I moved it from N/S seat front panel upwards and forwards onto bulkhead, I (may) have swapped out some pipework together with filter in order to make it reach, I certainly loosened off the pipework and re-clipped it an inch or two higher and that little fuse box got nudged up the same, plenty of slack,

the principal was two batteries, secondary was ease of swapping them, if that single battery comes out then I never saw how

Normal glass producing electricity. This could be a game changer. I would love to know how much electricity a standard sized window could produce.

So on these batteries to reiterate then;
the cabinet need altering, both depth & height, I did away with a hinged top and instead whole thing is now roughly the same height as the seat cushion base and protrudes further out from the front bulkhead (right up to the under seat radiators,

its not hinged, the front panel now slides down guillotine-like between a slot either side in the seat bases, and the 'lid' sits on top between the spare bed runners

it could as easily be hinged as before but mine then has that new cabinet sat on top of it instead

Front panel drops in grooves in seat base vertically down to floor and just inside the radiator covers below either seat





Cover sits in the rails either side below the seat cushions and is latched over the front panel for support







(Excuse the sawdust wasn't expecting guests & I've not been in with the hoover yet!) so front panel slid out here are the batteries in parallel with substantial leads between them (Halfords)



Water pump moved up above battery level, make sure you replace the rubber mountings or its noisy in operation






Here's the shaping of the front panel to pass around the radiator pipe and both panels have large holes both for handling and ventilation



and slacken off cable & hose clips to allow bits to move here and there, in this case the fuse panel goes up above batteries too










Table top doubles (when closed as cabinet door so has a locking latch)

















And with cabinet-step-table dropped back down on bracket.
