Were they any good do you think, they *look* OK, maybe not top draw but fine & they come up for sale now and again in both France & Germany and I think modestly priced

Pretty enough. That guy in the sand is utterly screwed I think.

Yeah I think they were quite good. They looked well built and, to their credit, were always very specific and detailed in their weight claims, including a long list of optional extras with precise weights for each of them. I don't know whether they were actually taller than competitors' models but they always looked top heavy to me.

Incidental info - Artica's obvious competition was Tischer's "Box" series - similar look and construction - but only weeks before going under Artica announced production of a new model with GRP moulded Luton and roof, obviously aimed at competing with Tischer's "Trail" series. Can't remember its name sadly but it obviously never happened.
