SBS
Anybody have any experience with this company?

A while back, I was thinking about having a shell built by them, but due to family illness, never got round to visiting them.
Apologies if they are already listed elsewhere on the forum, I'm new here!

Re: SBS
hmmm, not seen them before,
certainly design queues there from manufacturers there we know but since you can't really alter the overall design that much though hardly surprising.
Where did you hear of them from, they look the sort of thing right up our own Zildjian C's street actually and for use 'well' off-road.
Making a camper from scratch is not tackled lightly and requires a good deal of patience and organisation, but there are a steady stream of used units available with new ones coming on next year which is good news.
Will you have any particular requirements worth noting?

Re: SBS
I heard of these when I first started thinking about a 4x4 vehicle and just did a bit of googling on expedition vehicles. They are based in Dorset, and as I sometimes camp down that way, I may well have a look in.
What appeals to me, is that they could build me a demountable shell, complete with windows, doors and lockers, and I could fit out the inside, thus keeping the cost down. Their projects page shows they have done demountables in the past.
The problem seems to be in the UK, that demountables are not as popular as they should be, for some strange reason, so second hand units are few and far between. I will see what is about when I sell my MH, but would certainly keep this as an option.

Re: SBS
This is bizarre! SBS are literally only about seven miles from my home but I had never heard of them. Looks rather interesting, maybe I should pay them a visit??
