I Finally Got One!

So after an epic 4 day there and back road trip to Austria we finally picked up a Skarosser EC 6L. The Mrs has written a blog post about it so rather than my dodgy phone pics it is probably better to look here:

http://vagabondbaker.com/2015/04/23/dem ... mper-home/

It had been for sale a while and needs a little tinkering inside so I managed to hammer down the price to something a little better than advertised.

Thanks to Peaky and Nolan for all their help and advice throughout this.

Now it's time for the adventures to commence!\

Zildjian, brilliant thats Two of you this evening then great stuff, you'll love that we have the same model, looks identical actually

Excellent! We too have an EC6 and they are brilliant. In fact the longer you own one the more brilliant you find they are. I haven't looked at the Derbyshire camp post to check, but are you joining us?

Definitely not yours Zildjian, unless you are a retired Austrian couple a painfully long way away!

It was the one for us rubberrat. Loads of research led us to it com the insulation and alde heating suit our lifestyle.

Now we've got it we are planning to drive around Scandinavia this summer so can't make the social but we are interested in the September meet at Stratford.

We'll post more pics once we've made the interior our own. Getting rid of the compressor freezer is the first job and then returning the seating to original.

The website is meant to be fiddly to prevent people from nicking her pictures - photographers get touchy about that ;)

This might be of interest to you presently as well,
the ends of the winding gearbox at the top of each leg,

well they get tired and loose and eventually don't fit so good,

but fear not, help is at hand!
today I've sourced a couple of dozen for those of you with NSR./SKARROSER/NORDSTAR/EASYCAMPER,

so at a modest cost TBA per pair you can dispense with those waitrose bags zip-tied around gearbox head
