I think the only early American TC I really like, the aircraft look I think is what attracts me the most,
the reality of outdated construction I'd have to put aside and fit out the interior to just as new as I could possibly run to
still love one though

do the same people (airstream) make those, We saw the caravan one turned into a catering van last year at a show in the summer

On the manufacturer, I don't actually know I'll have to find that out I think, I do think the look is exceptional though and never really been bettered on a trailer/caravan.
suitably riven can pick up an airstream caravan restored or not in the UK from around 5K for a small one and up to whatever you are prepared to part with seemingly for a 'land yacht' which are practically a static in dimension

No, i don't think so. Airstream and Avion were competitors in the trailer caravan market but, whereas Airstream also ventured into the motorhome business, only Avion went into truck campers. Inevitably, as you would guess, they are highly sought after and valued and have an enthusiastic owners group in the Tin Can Tourists. For my money I'd still prefer an Alaskan - first made in 1955 and still going strong.

I do love that demountable, I'd happily give up the creature comforts of my SKarosser for that.
I put a pic of a fellow camper on the DCG FB page recently, I noticed that it wasn't an Airstream but a 'Silver Streak'
Zombie-proof covers on all skin fittings I see...
