Might not be such a good idea if those comments are anything to go by at least

Fantastic opportunity to live the dream. No lekky, no water, no roads, no neighbours, just like wilding in a Demountable.

One of my life mantras is that anything that starts with 'Is this A Good Idea ?...' is automatically a really good idea.

So would this be a good place to hole up in the coming zomb-apocalypse Keith?

Seems to have the pre requisites needed,
Isolated by water enough room to be self sufficient etc

Interesting interpretation of self sufficient. I spose you could eat seaweed and limpets, grow a few spuds, but not enough room to grow barley to make malt to make whisky. You could import a few haggis, but there aren't any indigenous to the island and they might not survive the predator birds. Probably more suited to posing like a rugged outdoors type whilst secretly returning to civilisation under cover of darkness via stealthy helo. It might suit Steve or yourself but for the likes of me and Trevor it just won't do.

Well there's certainly something in foraging along the shore for seaweed and suchlike, plenty of vitamin rich material there to be had for nothing, obviously

Furtive 'shopping' trips to what would pass for civilisation might work though preferred mode might be hovercraft as they are cheaper to run, I'd just need to find one before hand and install weaponry in case of trouble

Doubt a hovercraft would make that crossing somehow, bit rough up there (look at the coastline it looks like a shredded flag)
Think it heli/boat only somehow

Stealthy black coracle methinks. Do we have any Welsh or Irish members to build one for Zildjian?
