Its owner Carsten Zimmerman has been telling me a little about his own history with these unique campers,

this particular camper has been out of use for some years but ready to go, although He mentions in the advert in Germany that its appliances would need carefully checking over or indeed replacing

I would look at trying to refurbish the appliances rather than replace them. That camper is doubly rare, not just because it is an Avion, but also it appears completely original with original appliances and with no damage to the aluminium - they dent easily, especially the cabover, and replacement sections show up as they don't have the same level of oxidation as the originals.

Something like this deserves accommodation of its own when not in use, and someone with a delicate touch when being used



wouldn't stand for being brushed against olive tree's for exmaple

Would have to store that inside wouldn't you

a sheet thrown over that in Winter isn't enough

Looks like owner has it in corner of a warehouse or workshop, was hoping He was avaiable to answer a few questions for us over the weekend we'll see if He find us

Will be interesting if that owner comes along i know they are a dated camper but they do look good and of course like the airstream caravans
